Terms of Service

Effective: April 25, 2026

1. The Service

QR Forge is a QR code generator and dynamic QR code redirect service operated by StanHattie LLC ("we", "us"), an Iowa limited liability company located at 731 SE Alices Rd PMB 1035, Waukee, IA 50263. By using QR Forge ("the Service") you agree to these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

3. Account Security

QR Forge uses passwordless authentication (magic-link email plus WebAuthn passkeys). You are responsible for the security of the email address tied to your account and for the devices on which you enroll passkeys. Notify us immediately at support@tryqrforge.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use QR Forge to:

• Distribute malware, phishing pages, or links to deceptive content
• Violate any law or third-party rights, including intellectual property and privacy rights
• Send spam, harass others, or facilitate unsolicited bulk communication
• Bypass scan-quota or rate-limit enforcement
• Resell the Service without a written reseller agreement

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

5. Plans and Billing

The Service offers Free, Starter, Pro, and Business plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe on a monthly or annual cycle. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges until you cancel. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not pro-rate mid-cycle cancellations.

6. Refunds

We offer a full refund within 14 days of your first subscription payment if you are not satisfied. After that window, refunds are issued at our discretion for billing errors only. Email support@tryqrforge.com with refund requests.

7. Plan Downgrades

If you downgrade from a paid plan to Free (intentionally or because a payment fails repeatedly), your existing QR codes continue to redirect, but features beyond the Free tier (extra dynamic codes, extended analytics history, additional folders, API access) become unavailable. You can re-upgrade at any time to restore full feature access.

8. Data Retention

Active accounts: data retained while your account is active. Inactive accounts: we send a reactivation email at 10 months of no sign-in activity, archive the account at 12 months, and permanently delete data at 18 months. You can request immediate deletion at any time from your dashboard.

9. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance is announced when feasible. We are not liable for downtime caused by upstream providers (Railway, Cloudflare, Stripe, Resend), DDoS attacks, or force majeure.

10. Intellectual Property

QR Forge software, design, and brand are owned by StanHattie LLC. You retain all rights to the QR code payloads, destination URLs, and scan data you create on the platform. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, transmit, and serve your QR redirects.

11. Termination

You may close your account anytime from your dashboard. We may terminate accounts for violations of Section 4, repeated payment failures, or court order. On termination, your data is deleted within 90 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., 7-year retention of transaction records for tax purposes).

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. See the Disclaimer for full terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StanHattie LLC's total liability under these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars ($100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify StanHattie LLC against any claim arising from your use of the Service in violation of these terms or applicable law, including claims of trademark infringement, defamation, or distribution of unlawful content via your QR codes.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Polk County, Iowa.

16. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
